“Life was chaotic for me. I would have to describe it as complete desperation.” Throughout her addiction, Tracey felt that she had no worth or value and that she was trash that should be thrown to the curb.
Tracey describes the lowest point in her addiction as being on the floor of her hospital room after suffering a heart attack snorting pills. “All I wanted was the drugs. It didn’t matter where or how I got them!”
“Life during addiction was out of control.”
When she arrived at Teen Challenge she was greeted with love and acceptance and finally for the first time felt like she could breathe without the weight of shame and guilt.
